Bodega Vistalba
This modern winery is at the heart of Vistalba in Lujan de Cuyo with 45 hectares of vineyards expanding into the horizon overlooking the mountains. A joint-venture between long-serving Argentine winemaker Carlos Pulenta and Argentine billionaire turned vigneron Alejandro Bulgheroni, Bodega Vistalba also boasts 200 hectares of vines in the Uco Valley where their Tomero and Progenie wines come from.
A visit to the winery includes a circuit of the smart production area and a tasting in the underground cellar where you get a fabulous view of the soil profile underground. The Wine Bar/Restaurant serves up delicious 3 or 5 course lunches with modern Argentine cuisine using local ingredients from the region and their own garden. A long, leisurely lunch is one of the highlights of visiting Bodega Vistalba.
