Casa Montes winery and vineyards was established in Tulum Valley in San Juan in 1992. The owners of the winery are the Montes family which are important figures in the community of San Juan, where they manage the main local radio station and newspaper.
The winemaker of Casa Montes winery is Pedro Pelegrina, who manages the production of 11 different grape varieties including Malbec and Syrah.
