The White Blend, Errazuriz
Light white gold
This wine slowly undresses in the glass: kicking off with orchard fruits like white peach and pear, with a middle layer of mineral notes and that lovely rubbery note you sometimes get with this blend, and a very fine, nutty under layer…
A very expressive mouth with delicate orchard fruits and a real weight in the mouth that shows real quality and concentration. The acidity is bright and shows tension, but the show stealer of this wine in the mouth is the texture and length.
This wine cuts light cream perfectly, try it with delicate fish or pasta drizzled in a light cream herb sauce.
13.5% alcohol, PH 3.22, 2015 harvest
Winery sample, no decanting.
More on the wine
There is an exciting mediterranean blend movement happening in Chile, and Errazuriz is one winery spearheading it with their White Blend and Red Blend. This one blends Marsanne, Roussane and Viognier, delivering a very serious endeavour and well made wine with delicate aromas but great weight in the mouth. Part of the wine was fermented in barrels, giving it a bit more complexity and you can feel some of the lees work in there.
More on the producer

They have championed the Aconcagua region proving that you can not only make fabulous reds, but also edgy whites.
