Matetic
About Matetic winery
Matetic is a beautiful organic biodynamic winery that straddles both Casablanca and San Antonio region. Making the classic cool climate varieties that do so well in Chile’s coastal regions, Matetic has great examples of Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as the harder-to-find Riesling and Gewürztraminer.
The property overlooks the coastal hillsides and creates a colourful picture of vineyards and forest. You might also get a glimpse of the animals and birds that live on the farm and are an important element of their sustainable and biodynamic production.
There is a restaurant on site serving inspired dishes using ingredients from their own organic garden and from local producers in the region. If you can’t tear yourself away (and you will find it hard!) stay the night in their handsome colonial-era Casona.
