Fabre Montmayou

Bodegas Fabre Montmayou was founded by the renowned French winemaker Hervé Joyaux Fabre who comes from a family of wine negociants. When Hervé Joyaux Fabre first came to Argentina in the 1990s looking for opportunities to buy his own vineyards and start a winery, he was amazed by how well the French grape variety, Malbec, adapted to the terroir here in Argentina.

Fabre Montmayou’s vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, include the very first old vines that Hervé Joyaux Fabre bought which are now over one hundred years old. Fabre Montmayou winery also has vineyards located in Rio Negro, in southern Argentina, where they make wines from this different terroir and climate.
