En Re Do, Bodegas RE
Categorically an orange wine, but with a pretty coppery pink.
A blast of perfume with heady notes of dried rose, lychee and a sweet and sour candied lemon.
Pop a blindfold on and let go of any prejudices, the tannins of this wine would leave you to believe you are drinking a red. Although it has all the acidity of a white, combining to make a real wowza wine! Complex and aromatic in the mouth with grippy tannins and a biting acidity, this wine should be enjoyed with hearty food.
A great food pairing wine. Try it with seafood and chorizo stew.
2015 harvest, Gewürztraminer & Riesling blend
Winery sample
Made as a red wine with white grapes, this is an orange wine. The skins are left in the process which gives the wine the copper colour and the wicked tannins. The wine is vinified in clay tinajas, which also helps build the structure of the wine.
