6 April: Monteviejo Wine Rock Mendoza Festival
The big day that every rock and Malbec lover is waiting for. WineRock is an all-day music festival in the vineyards of Bodega Monteviejo, framed by the vines and Andes mountains. The rock festival is the brainchild of head winemaker at Monteviejo, Marcelo Pelleriti, who has always fostered his passion for music alongside forging a successful career in making wine in Argentina and Bordeaux, France. As an end-of-harvest celebration, he started Monteviejo WineRock by inviting musician friends of his, and it snowballed into the hotly attended music festival it is today.
As well as serving up Bodega Monteviejo’s wines during the music festival, this is your chance to try wines and special labels which Pelleriti makes with the different musicians in a creative collaboration of blending musical and wine tastes.
Kicking off at 12, there are about 8 hours of musical treats lined up with the following acts confirmed to date:
- Babasonicos
- Coti Sorokin
- Fer Ruiz Diaz with Vanthra
