This year’s Argentina Wine Awards (organised annually by Wines of Argentina) was a bumper year for trophies with 17 of the top Trophy accolades going to producers across Argentina, as well as 30 gold awards and hundreds of silver and bronze awards.
The top three awards are the regional trophies which this year went to:
- Mendoza Trophy – Trapiche, Gran Medalla Cabernet Franc
- Patagonia & Atlantic Trophy – Bodega del Fin del Mundo, Grand Reserve Del Fin Del Mundo
- North Trophy – Bodega Colomé, Colomé Malbec
This year’s panel for the Argentina Wine Awards came from a mixture of wine critics and journalists from the UK, China and the USA, and the theme for the tasting was “Breaking New Ground”, to reflect the innovations in the industry at the moment.
