Chilean sommelier Ricardo Grellet elected new President of APAS

During the Pan-American Alliance of Sommeliers General Assembly last weekend, Chilean sommelier Ricardo Grellet was elected the new President.

He will take over the role from Argentine sommelier Andres Rosberg and head up the international alliance which is formed of sommelier associations across the Americas including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Grellet is a renowned sommelier in Chile and has previously won the esteemed title of Best Sommelier in Chile. He was founder of the Chilean sommelier association and has played an fundamental role in wine education in Chile since receiving his diploma in 2001.
