Viñedo Chadwick
About Viñedo Chadwick
This old polo field has become one of Chile’s most famous vineyards, Viñedo Chadwick in Alto Maipo. Alfonso Chadwick was one of Chile’s most prized polo players but when he retired he allowed his son, Eduardo Chadwick, to plant vines on his beloved polo field in 1992. Sadly Alfonso died the next year and never got to see Viñedo Chadwick produce the iconic Cabernet Sauvignon it does today. One of Chile’s top luxury labels.

About the Viñedo Chadwick vineyards
Viñedo Chadwick is located in Puente Alto, in the Maipo Valley, 650 meters above sea level. The 15-hectare vineyard is considered one of Chile’s best terroirs for producing high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon. The soils are moderately fertile, with a 40 cm clay-loam stratum (clay content of around 15%–20%), over an alluvial layer with 70% stone content that provides excellent drainage.
Viñedo Chadwick is managed using sustainable farming practices. The vines are trained to a vertical trellis and spur pruned and for careful vigor control, irrigation is done under a unique and highly technical drip irrigation system.
Viñedo Chadwick wine
On May 2016, Viñedo Chadwick 2014 scored a perfect 100 points, becoming the first Chilean wine to achieve this critic recognition.
This vintage is perhaps the epitome of purity and freshness of our terroir. I believe it is the greatest expression of Viñedo Chadwick made so far. This is a most wonderful recognition of all of these years of hard work and dedication.”
