Piattelli, Cafayate

The Piattelli family fell in love with two places in Argentina when visiting, and couldn’t resist having a winery in each one! The flagship winery is in Cafayate in the Salta region of Argentina, but they also have a winery in Mendoza in the heart of Lujan de Cuyo.

Both are beautifully designed and Tuscan in style using handsome rocks from around the country to create a wine temple fit for the best Malbec.

The Cafayate winery focuses on Torrontes, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat – all of which are well adapted to their high altitude terroir. In Mendoza, they produce more Malbec of course as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and a red blend. Both wineries have a restaurant serving up delicious local cuisine.
