Bodega Miras is the winery of renowned Patagonian winemaker Marcelo Miras and his family. With a handful of different varieties made from old vines in Rio Negro (including Semillon and Trousseau) and Neuquen, Bodega Miras makes two different lines of wines. Miras Joven are lighter, everyday wines and Crianza is the premium line with barrel-aged wines.
Chakana winery is based in Lujan de Cuyo’s Agrelo region, where the winery has 150 hectares of vineyards. Founded in 2002, Chakana also owns vineyards in the Uco Valley and all of their vineyards are managed organically and biodynamically. Chakana makes a wide range of wines ranging from Petit Verdot and Malbec to Torrontes and sparkling wine.
Finca Suarez wines and vineyard is a family project now in the hands of the fourth-generation – the promising young winemaker Juanfa Suarez. The family own a 50-hectare vineyard in Paraje Altamira which is managed organically and biodynamically and use some of the fruit for their own wine production. Finca Suarez wines include Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Semillon and Chardonnay.
Matias Riccitelli is one of the most promising winemakers of his generation and Riccitelli Wines is a family winery he established in 2009. The Riccitelli winery is located on one of their vineyards in Las Compuertas, where they have 20 hectares of ungrafted old vines, and the growing wine portfolio includes wines from the Uco Valley Rio Negro in Argentine Patagonia.
