Third-generation winemakers Vicente, Daniel and Rodolfo Vargas Arizu built the Tierras Altas winery in 1999 to continue their family’s century-long history of winemaking. Today they make still wines and sparkling wines which include Malbec, Malbec Rose Extra Brut and Sauvignon Blanc.
Tierras Altas also offer a range of tourist experiences including wine tasting straight from the barrel and a sensory experience to get to know the aromas which characterise the Malbec grape variety. The winery’s restaurant, Juana Maria, serves a range of dishes showcasing their olive oil production.
