Terra Camiare

Bodega Terra Camiare winery in Colonia Caroya was originally founded as Familia Nanini in 1929, and acquired by Familia Mizzau in 2015 and rebaptised as Terra Caviare. The Latin ‘terra’ (meaning ‘land’) honours the contribution of the Jesuits and Italian immigrants to the region’s viticulture. While the word ‘camiare’ pays homage of the indigenous populations.

Today, the winery produces a wide portfolio of grape varieties including Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Ancellotta, Viognier, Chardonnay, Torrentés, Tannat and Cordoba’s regional grape, Isabella.

Bodega La Caroyense

Bodega La Caroyense began as a small winery belonging to a cooperative set up during the 1930s in Colonia Caroya, Cordoba. In the early 2000s, the winery was acquired by the current owners who planted a range of grape varieties alongside the original Isabella and Pinot Noir vines planted by the region’s Italian immigrant communities. Bodega La Caroyense today produces Merlot, Marselan and grappa too.

Sat La Caroyense winery is open for daily visit and offers a free tour in which visitors can learn about the history of the winery and winemaking in Cordoba, as well as the wine and grappa production process.

La Matilde winery and organic and biodynamic vineyards in Cordoba has a small portfolio of mainly red wines. The Posada Real La Matilde country house also has cosy rooms overlooking the vineyards and the Altas Cumbres (High Peaks) of the Traslasierra valley.

The 60-hectare San Javier estate is surrounded by the forest and there are plenty of activities on offer if you’re looking to experience the Argentinean countryside and the culture and traditions of the gauchos, including horse riding.

Bodega Noble is a boutique winery with three hectares of vineyards in San Javier, Cordoba. The winery focuses on biodynamic and organic red wine production including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot.

Bodega San Javier winery and vineyards is open to visitors- offering a free vineyard tour, as well as a winemaking experience with a tasting and nibbles included.
