Don Guerino

The Motter family have been settled into the hillsides of Alto Feliz for five generations since arriving from Italy, however the Don Guerino winery (named after their great grandfather Guerino Motter) is a modern endeavour that embraces the ambitions of the young family – with oldest brother Michael at 30 running the administration, middle brother Bruno as Head Winemaker at 26 years old, and youngest brother Lucas, only 22, about to open his first restaurant on-site.

With 55 hectares planted on their red clay slopes surrounded by sub-tropical forest, the majority of their 400,000 litre production comes from the estate. The wines are youthful, juicy and fruit-forward, showing the winemaker’s maturity in keeping with modern simplicity and a fresh style which feels symbiotic with Brazil’s terrain.
