Aurora

As the biggest winery in Brazil, Aurora are proud to tell you. It is big in terms of production, and it is big in terms of numbers – the business is owned by 11,000 people, the very 11,000 grape producers whose fruit is crushed to make wine and juice at this large, and historical, co-operative.

Sat in the centre of Bento Gonçalves, Aurora is an important link to Brazil’s wine history and a trip to the winery gives you an insight into the history and tradition that was created over the last century. If you visit during harvest time you’ll get to see all the action as hundreds of trucks bring the city to a halt as they bring in the grapes.
