Cavas de Weinert winery is an institution in Mendoza, making wine in the same style since it was founded in 1975. Brazilian businessman Bernardo Weinert used to drive through Mendoza and grew fond of the wine, deciding to endeavour into his own production under the expert hand of legendary winemaker Raúl de la Motta.
Today the wines are still made in large, cavernous oak barrels, sometimes up to 6,000 litres in size, and Weinert continues to produce their distinctive wines with an Old World vibe.
