Catrala winery is a small boutique operation in Casablanca in the sub-region of Lo Orozco.
Making a small production, their wines focus on the cool climate varieties typical of Casablanca: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as a Merlot.
One of the modern pioneers of Casablanca valley, the Cúneo family founded Casas del Bosque winery in 1993. This cool maritime climate is ideal for fresh coastal wines, and the focus of Casas del Bosque is on Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah, although winemaker Alberto Guolo is also experimenting with Malbec on the estate.
Casas del Bosque is not only a leader in Casablanca wines but has one of the most popular winery restaurants in Chile, the award-winning Tanino, and boasts a great variety of activities for visitors from bike rides through the vineyards to picnics at the beautiful look out spot, at Casa Mirador. Another of the key pillars of Casas del Bosque is a focus on sustainablity, through their viticulture and winemaking as well as their social and community impact.

Little wine bottle-shaped vehicles move around Santiago’s centre on the app until you call your Uber Wine, which will take you out to Casablanca to visit a local winery.
Veramonte is the winery on offer as of yet, and Uber books your premium tasting of four of their wines and a wine tour for you and your fellow passengers. There’s a booking minimum of two passengers and you can squeeze up to 6 in an Uber vehicle.
The wine tasting fee and trip costs $80,000 pesos per person, based on 2 sharing, and gets a bit cheaper as more passengers share the vehicle.

Made as a red wine with white grapes, this is an orange wine. The skins are left in the process which gives the wine the copper colour and the wicked tannins. The wine is vinified in clay tinajas, which also helps build the structure of the wine.
