One of the best known brands in Brazil, Salton winery is a large family company and the oldest running winery in Brazil. Founded in 1878, it has experienced the booms and crunches of the Brazilian wine industry and you can learn about the history of wine in Brazil in their painted gallery which tells the story of both the industry and Salton simultaneously.
Despite the very pretty outdoor facade, the winery is more industrial inside with a busy day-to-day production that you are most likely to see in action during any visit. The wine portfolio is large, so try and steer towards their Intenso prosecco-style bubbly, and their limited edition Luca Canei rose brut nature if you get the chance. One stand-out wine to taste is Salton Generacoes blend, as well as their good value Marselan.
