Morande started in 1996 as the wine production of Pablo Morande and today it has become one of Chile’s biggest producers with 1000 hectares of vineyards across Chile. Morande winery is in Rapel and until recently it had a tasting room and restaurant in Casablanca, House Casa del Vino. Although the small experimental winery and restaurant is closed until further notice.
Kingston winery and vineyard estate in Casablanca is owned by the fifth generation of Kingston family since Carl Kingston first came to Chile from the US on a hunt for gold in the early 1900s.
Almost a century later, it is now a 140 hectare vineyard where they produce and sell grapes, and focus on making their own small production of wine. The portfolio consists of Pinot Noir, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc – three classic varieties in the cool, coastal Casablanca region. While the family split their time between Chile and the US, the winemaking is headed up by their Chilean winemaker Amael Orrego and Byron Kosuge is their consultant winemaker from the US.

Indomita winery is probably the most eye-catching from the main road in Casablanca – it looks like a white fairy-tale castle perched up on the hill and can’t but help call your attention. Make the steep walk up to the winery and you’ll be greeted with views down the valley and a welcome breeze on the warmer Summer days.
Indomita is owned by the Bethia Group since they bought it over in 2006, and now the winery comprises of vineyards in Casablanca (150 hectares) and in Maipo (350 hectares). The extensive range also expands to Maule and you’ll find all the classic varieties from Chile in their wide portfolio.
A popular stop on the wine route in Casablanca, you can stock up on all their wines in their wine shop or spend some time tasting through the portfolio over lunch at their renowned restaurant.
