Andes Plateau is the mountain wine project of well-known Chilean winemaker Felipe Uribe. His first wine, 700, came from Alto Maipo from a vineyard at 700 metres above sea-level. Since then he has incorporated other altitude vineyards in Chile including Cachapoal and Alcohuaz in Elqui.

Anakena winery was founded in Alto Cachapoal just before the turn of the century, in 1999, however, today its reach spans much further than their vineyards in Cachapoal. Anakena also makes wines from Maipo and Casablanca too. Anakena is now owned by Accolade Wines.
Altacima winery and brand is a project by German winemaker and expat Klaus Schröder Baasch who first came to Chile in 1965. He worked for several of Chile’s big wineries (Viña San Pedro, Errazuriz and Santa Rita) before starting his own label. In Altacima, you’ll find major Chilean varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Carmenere) within the portfolio but also a Gewüstraminer – reflecting Klaus’ winemaking heritage.
A los Viñateros Bravos
A los Viñateros Bravos is a project by Chilean winemaker Leo Erazo (of Rogue Vine, Altos Las Hormigas) in which he works with small growers in Itata. It’s a noble ambition: to make wines that celebrate and help finance the small growers which are rapidly disappearing in this region of old vines and ancestral winemaking techniques. But, fortunately, under the hand of Leo Erazo, the wines are, in general, excellent. A series of Cinsault, País and Moscatel.
