Viña González Bastías
Viña González Bastías is a boutique wine production in Maule’s by fifth-generation winemaker José Luis Gómez Bastías and his winemaker wife Daniela Lorenzo. They make natural wines with the same minimal intervention and artisanal methods that their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents used. Together they have four hectares of old vines, some over 200 years old, with País, other Criolla varieties and Semillon planted. Viña González Bastías makes red, white and orange blends and single-variety País wines and you can visit the González Bastías winery, vineyards and family home for a tasting and lunch.
Gillmore winery was founded by Francisco Gillmore in 1990 and is today run by the second generation, daughter Daniella Gillmore and her winemaking husband Andrés Sánchez. The focus is on making artisanal wines from their Tabontinaja vineyard in Maule. They have Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Carignan, Malbec and Syrah planted, as well as some experimental other vines, and the vineyard is dry farmed and part of Maule’s Secano Costero.
The Gillmore family also run a winery lodge in their vineyards, Tabonko.
